He became known for his distinctive voice and suave demeanor, which made him a prominent figure in classic cinema. Sanders gained acclaim for his performances in several notable films, including the role of the sinister Jack Favell in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rebecca" (1940) and the character of Addison DeWitt in Joseph L.
